  • Alfred Signs with Jimmies

    Another Saint has committed to continue their athletic career at a four-year school, this time being men's basketball player Terrell Alfred.  Alfred will head to the Univeristy of Jamestown to continue his basketball career with the Jimmies.
  • Small Invited To Top Offseason Camps

    Saints upcoming sophomore Isiah Small has been invited to the Juco Advocate 32 and Mullen's Top 100 Camps this summer to showcase his skills in front of four year coaches.  Small will be joined at the camps by incoming Saint transfer Tavion Robinson.
  • Saints Add James Barrett As Assistant Coach

    Seward Count Head Coach Jason Sautter announced the addition of James Barrett to his coaching staff on Tuesday, becoming the Saints new Assistant Coach after Luke Adams recieved the head coach job at New Mexico Junior College.
  • Spring Semester Ends with Academic Awards

    For a second straight semester, the Seward County student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of over 3.20 as 78 Saints and Lady Saints were named to the Spring Athletic Director Honor Roll.
  • Saints Basketball Announces Jason Sautter Team Camp Schedule

    Seward County Basketball has announced the Jason Sautter 2018 Team Camp that will take place June 25th through June 28th this summer in the Greenhouse.  The camp will cost high school team's $400 per team, where they are guarenteed to play eight games (two games per day) over the course of the four day camp.   • Davis and Small Named to All-Conference Teams

    LIBERAL, Kan. - The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced their All-Conference teams on Thursday and two Saints were named to their teams.  Sophomore Ke'Sean Davis earned 2nd Team All-Conference, while freshman Isiah Small was selected to the Honorable Mention All-Conference team.
  • Saints Season Ends In Quarterfinals Of Region VI Tournament

    It was a hard-fought quarterfinal game in the Region VI Tournament between the No. 1 seed Coffeyville Red Ravens and the No. 8 seed Seward County Saints, but it was the Red Ravens who eventually came out on top 66-61.
  • Saints Advance to Quarterfinals with Win Over Butler

    It was a game that came down to the wire,but the Seward County Saints men’s basketball team came away with a victory in the first round of the Region VI Tournament, defeating Butler, 63-61 as the Grizzlies final attempts missed their mark.  It marks the first postseason win for the Saints since 2015.
  • Free Throws The Difference In Overtime Loss Against Garden

    The Seward County men’s basketball team lost a thriller in overtime at Garden City, losing to the Broncbusters 75-72.  The loss puts the Saints as the number eight seed in the Region VI Tournament.
  • Saints Clinch Home Playoff Game with Sophomore Night Win

    Teams always want to play their best basketball towards the end of the season, and Seward County is starting to hit their strides, winning a conference game by a season-high, defeating the Dodge City Conquistadors 84-52. With the win and an Independence loss to Hutchinson, Seward moves into 7th place in the Jayhawk Conference and has secured a first round home playoff game.
  • Saints Make Up Ground In Jayhawk With Win Over Colby

    The Seward Count men’s basketball team picked up an important late season win over the Colby Trojans Wednesday night, 71-56 inside the Greenhouse. Trying to close the gap between teams ahead of them in the standings, it marks the second straight win that the Saints have been able to gain one game on those teams.

    As the season winds down, and teams jostle for a higher seed in the playoffs, the Seward County men’s basketball team came away with an important victory over the Independence Pirates, winning 67-60 in Independence.

    The Seward County men’s basketball team struggled to put another opponent away, slipping in the final minute to lose to Neosho County 86-83. In a night where the offense could seemingly do no wrong, it was the No. 1 ranked defense that faltered for the Saints.

    It was another heartbreaker in the Greenhouse on Wednesday, as the Seward County men’s basketball team took the No. 17 Coffeyville Red Ravens down to the final seconds, but ultimately losing 67-64.  It marks back-to-back one possession home game loses to a ranked opponent, as the Saints fell to 13-11 overall and 9-11 in the Jayhawk conference.

    Struggling to find a  game sponsor for Wednesday’s basketball games against Coffeyville during a busy 18  game home schedule, the Saints Athletics Department had a savior walk through the doors of the Greenhouse last week as a member of the Liberal community stepped to the plate to personally sponsor the game.

    The Seward County men’s basketball team let another game slip in the final minutes, losing to Cowley College 74-69. The win dropped the Saints to 9-10 in the Jayhawk and 13-10 overall.

    The Seward County men’s basketball team couldn’t slow down the Jayhawk Conference’s number one scoring offense when it mattered, falling to the Pratt Beavers in the final minutes of Wednesday’s game, 80-73.

    In front of an electrifying Greenhouse crowd, the Seward County men’s basketball team gave the No. 11 Barton Cougars all they could handle, falling in the final seconds, 78-77.  The Saints came just short of their first statement win under first year head coach Jason Sautter.

    The Seward County men’s basketball team used a strong second half push to guide them to victory over the Cloud County Thunderbirds inside the Greenhouse Wednesday night, 80-64.  With the win, the Saints sit at 13-7 overall and 9-7 in the Jayhawk conference, their most conference wins since 2013-14.
  • Saints Hold Off Comeback; Defeat Butler 79-76

    In a matchup of a top offensive team against a top defensive team, Seward County’s defense proved to be too much for the Butler Grizzlies to handle. Seward County (12-7, 8-7) forced the Grizzlies into 17 turnovers in their 79-76 win over Butler.
  • Alfred Ties 3-Point Record In Loss to No. 13 Hutch

    The Seward County men’s basketball team couldn’t overcome the stifling defense of No. 13 Hutchinson, falling to the Blue Dragons 83-60.  The Blue Dragons forced the Saints into 19 turnovers. The loss dropped Seward to 11-7 overall and 7-7 in the Jayhawk Conference.

    It was thrilling night in Panther Gymnasium as the Seward County Saints basketball team needed an extra five minutes to take home a win against the Neosho Panthers, 87-82.  The win marked the first overtime victory for the Saints in two years.

    The Seward County Saints basketball team used a career game by Isiah Small to run away with a victory on Wednesday over the Allen Red Devils, 77-48.  Small finished with a career-high 25 points and his third career double-double (25 pts/10 rebs).
