LIBERAL, Kan. — Despite generating six shots and four on target, the Seward County men's soccer team was unable to break through offensively in a 1–0 loss to Garden City on Wednesday evening at Redskin Field.
The Saints (4-4-0, 0-4-0 KJCCC) kept the contest scoreless until the 51st minute when the Broncbusters (7-3-2, 2-3-0) broke through as Adrian Campbell scored the game's lone goal.
Goalkeeper Miguel Kwiatkowski turned in a strong effort with five saves to keep the Saints within striking distance. Offensively, the Saints pressured late but could not find the equalizer.
Seward continues the search for its first conference win on Sunday when they travel to Dodge City for a 1 p.m. matchup with the Barton Cougars. The game is being played in Dodge City due to ongoing renovations to the Cougars field in Great Bend.
The Saints fell 4-0 to Barton in the conference opener at Redskin Field on Sept. 10th.
