Kwiatkowski’s Shutout Earns Him NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week
Liberal, Kansas – On October 16th the NJCAA announced their weekly awards with a Seward County Saint once again earning National Goalkeeper of the Week with this week's recipient being freshman goalkeeper Miguel Kwiatkowski who led SCCC to a shutout win over Garden City in his first career start.
Stepping up for the Saints in his first full 90:00-minute game on the field, Kwiatkowski made multiple emphatic saves to hold the Broncbusters to 0 goals as he ended the night with 8 total saves. His work in front of the goal allowed Seward County to gain momentum and make a drive down the field where Felipe Flores scored the game winning goal in a 1-0 win that earned Flores KJCCC Player of the Week honors for a sweep of the weekly awards by the Saints.
Seward County will be back on the road tonight for their final road game of the 2024 regular season as they head to Dodge City to take on the Conquistadors in a 6:00 PM kickoff.
