Seward Wins 3rd Straight, Defeats FHTNW by 12 at Home

LIBERAL, Kan. – The Seward County men defeated Fort Hays Tech Northwest 73-61 at The Greenhouse on Saturday afternoon.

The win marked Seward's third straight conference win moving them to 9-3 overall and 4-2 in KJCCC play. FHTNW is now 5-5, 1-4 in conference action.

Seward never trailed in the game. They jumped out to a 9-1 lead and led by as much as 14 in the first half. They went to the locker room with a 33-24 advantage.

Fort Hays Tech cut the lead to five multiple times under 10 minutes but the Saints always had an answer, eventually winning by 12.

Both teams had 12 turnovers, Seward finished with 19 assists to Tech's 12 and outrebounded Tech by one, 39-38. Seward shot 42.9& from the field compared to Fort Hays Tech's 32.8%.

Seward's Antonio Williams Jr. led all scorers with 20 points off the bench also pulling down five rebounds. Lucas N'Gombo had 18 points and five rebounds and Awit Mamer added 10 points and five rebounds. Matija Otasevic led Tech with 13 points.
