High School: During his High School career, Cairns suited up for St. Francis Xavier under Head Coach Taylor Burns at all positions in the infield. As a senior he averaged .295 at the plate with an OBP of .430 with 36 hits, 13 doubles, 2 homeruns, and 34 RBIs to finish off his final year of high school.
