LIBERAL, Kan. – Despite outshooting the Dodge City Conquistadors on Wednesday evening, the Seward Saints fell 1-0 at Redskin Field in a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference contest.
Seward (3-3-0, 2-3-0 KJCCC) outshot the Conquistadors (4-2-0, 2-2-0) 8-7 in the game as well as having two corner kicks to the Conqs none but could not get on the board.
Dodge City scored the game's lone goal in the 18th minute to take the 1-0 lead that held.
Seward goalkeeper Caroline Benck finished with four saves in the game. Giuliana Granada led Seward with three shots while Eduarda Martins and Juliana Salazar each had a shot on goal.
The Saints will look to get back in the in column on Saturday when they travel to El Dorado to take on the Butler Grizzlies at 7 p.m.
