Saints Fall in 4 Sets at No. 12 Colby
COLBY, Kan. – Playing in their second consecutive road match, the Seward volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-20, 11-25, 20-25, 17-25) decision to the 12th ranked Colby Trojans at the Colby Event Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Saints (6-11, 3-3 KJCCC) took a set from the nationally ranked Trojans (15-4, 7-0) but ran out of steam dropping the next three.
Mariana Silva (12 kills) and Mina Milivojevic (10 kills) paced the Saints offense as both hit over .200 and had double-digit kills.
As a team Seward hit .194, seeing Colby finish with 18 blocks limiting the Saint attack. Colby hit .315 being paced by Lena Mihaljica's 14 kills on .462 hitting.
Jhulya Carlotti finished with 19 assists to pace Seward while Ana Nikolic had a team-high 11 digs.
The Saints return home on Wednesday, Oct. 1st, as Dodge City visits The Greenhouse for a 6:30 p.m. match.
